We apply this comprehensive and new industry standard consistently across all Uber products, including uberX Would Uber have dared to not follow the 7-year background check for all Uber drivers in the US? or would Union Carbide have dared to have such lax regulations for their factory in the US? Would Primark make its workers in the UK work in such dilapidated buildings like the Rana Plaza in Bangladesh? or would any of these multi-nationals have such low social and health security measures for their workers in their first-world counterparts? Yeh India hai, yahan sab chalta hai, eh? #doublestandards
