Wow! What do you all think of the latest culinary news from France? We are not vegans, BUT when dining out I frequently ask for the secret vegetable plate because I dont always trust the quality of the meat, fish, etc. when dining out (I like to make sure my meat is raised on pasture, fish is wild, etc.) Plus, I always like to eat a LOT of veggies and find that if I order a meat dish I get a hunk of meat the size of my foot and then 2 or 3 little broccoli sprigs or asparagus spears. I always want way more veggies! I am truly AMAZED at the creative veggie dishes talented chefs come up with these days, and so while I am not pushing meat totally OFF my plate, I do like to see it pushed to the side with veggies taking more of the spotlight.
