Wow, how time flies when you are having fun :) Today is two years that we left Canada and came to the mission field where God has called us and we will be for a few years yet to come, we can not see our selves doing anything else....(after our 16 months coming home for a season) We were told before we came that the first two years on a couple over seas are the toughest two years of there over seas life, as satan will throw so many things at you to leave and pack up and go home. We truly have found that to be so true as we could have packed up 10x over and come home, but not for the grace and love of God, we would have not endured.95% of couples we were told that end up going home in the first two years never come back to the mission field as what ever happened to them has impacted them to deeply and they can not or will not let it go, We have found that we need to daily plead the blood of Jesus over all we do here and our children at home,We have found you need to STAND and FIGHT in Jesus name and no that NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST US WILL PROSPER :) Our view !! The first six months were like a honeymoon, we could see no wrong, hear no wrong and no one could do no wrong. Then the next six months come along, and we started to see some of the cracks in the foundation and started to see things that we now realized that we now LIVE here and the honeymoon is over ! Now we started to hate this place and wanted to come home, and just blahhh. Then we would leave for three weeks to get refreshed and come back with a whole new out look. Coming here as an independent couple and not under any umbrella has been very difficult, but NOW after two years, and now that we are coming home, everything seems to be coming together more..LOL, truly papa Gods ways are not our ways:) When coming we had such high expectations of doing so many things with the church we came here with, and for some reason after two years years nothing has ever happened with them, which really in so many ways have saddened us, but as you all know and have seen God has led us to so many other awesome Malawians and have been working hand in hand with so many of them outside the church. We do love the church we came to, but we feel that they are so big and busy that they maybe do not have time to work with a missionary couple...again our view! We truly feel that as we extended our hands out to the HUGE Muslim community that is here and just loved on them more and more, that it was at that time we feel we were sorta pushed away from the church and not include in things, and that is very sad , as Jesus never came for the church, but those outside the church. Some of the difficulties we have found is the communication with people here, so many peoples phone die and they have no way to charge them, or they do not have phone credit, Many times we have sent messages and you know they have gone through, and for some reason they just feel it is important for them to get back to you, this has been very hard for us to cope with. the driving here can drive you crazy...lol as there are so many round abouts here and 90% of the people here do not know how to drive through them :) but you do get use to it. Bishop William Mandhlopa of area 23 such a dear and awesome friend who has spent so much time with us teaching us the cultural things of Malawi is priceless he is a friend and a mentor that we will never forget, probably 80% of our base is through him :) Thank you Bishop for your love and time with us :) Riaz Gill our awesome and beloved friend from Pakistan, him and his family have made some very lonely times here very durable :) love you bro, The amazing wonderful beautiful FAMILY out at Chinkhotankhwazi village where we built the school and church, we have spent countless hours with them, our hearts truly lie with them. To end, the absolutely awesome and beautiful Muslim brothers and sisters we have met here in the last two years.. InshAllah our friend and family-ship will never end !! you are the most amazing people I have met, YES we have our differences, but that is what makes us unique in the eyes of of Allah, we know what you very strongly believe in your prophet Mohammad (peace be unto him) and you know what we believe in Allah having a son named Jesus, but we still love each other Masha Allah, and are just awesome family and friends, InshAllah i PROMISE you you with Allah we will NEVER forget you and always love you, BarrakAllah fik. This is just a SMALL tid-bit of the last two years, and as you all now know we have four months left here before we come home for a 16-18 month season before we leave to the middle East, InshAllah. Thank you to our three amazing children Geoff Cummer, Tiffany Cummer and Cody Cummer for loving and supporting us while we left you, that alone was the toughest thing that we had to do, we love and miss you so much, the rest of our family and friends, thank you for all your love and prayer and financial support over the last two years, we have said it a hundred times and we made it..WE CAN NOT DO WHAT WE ARE DOING HERE WITHOUT YOU :) Darcy and Brenda and Blazing Faith Ministries say Thank you to all, and shuka boomba and BarrakAllah fik
