Wow, it was cold this morning, coldest so far. Not only were the fields on either side cover in white rime but a bird bath in the open was frozen over and the one under the shade of the black bean tree had shards of ice in it. The paw paw is looking very sad and the tamarillo may have died. Finally the red browed finches from all over have arrived at our place for a feed. Dozens swooped in this morning. They must have run out of food elsewhere. Until now our little local mob have had it to themselves. Just popped in to Goanna Bakery in Lismore for an organic vegan lasagne and a coffee after a morning of glazing the new colourful tree bowls. Ill put the kiln on pilot lights overnight and fire first thing tomorrow.
