Wow....life is so precious...cherish the ones you love! Today I lost another good friend...EDDIE GOMEZ...hes sitting next to me(bald guy) in the group photo (which was taken @ the Hard Rock Hotel @ Babys nightclub, i believe, back in the day many years ago!) the other pic is of eddie, myself, and my girlfriend at the time(Tamika) @ a club in 2001....Eddie had been in a coma since before Labor Day, after having been jumped by some thugs @ a bus stop and subsequently hitting his head. He never recovered i guess, and today I was told he was pronounced clinically dead @ 2pm and a short time later would be taken off life support! Its very tragic, sad, and shocking! Eddie was absolutely the life of the party..I feel sad that we lost touch with one another over the past 10 years! I tried to reach out to him, but for whatever reason, he never responded, which i find odd and disappointing because we were once so close...we were roomates when I moved back to Vegas from Dallas some 15 or so years ago for about a year or 2. When we would go to the clubs back in the day(house of blues, sro, the original drais, babys, whichever, didnt matter, Eddie was the absolute stud..always we(HE) would have an entourage of people..15-20 or more, always comped bottles & the best vip treatment possible....all cause of EDDIE G....we had some great, wild, fantastic times & memories back in the day! Eddie Gomez was a true HUSLTER & a good man...you will be missed & never forgotten my man! RIP my man Eddie G....love u always.....GOD BLESS....PEACE!!
