Wow may God help Culled from: The New People Online Inc L.A.J Languishing in U.S Maximum Prison Popular Sierra Leonean Hip Hop Rap Musician, L.A.J is currently languishing in a maximum prison in the United States of America (USA) following his arrest and detention some ten months ago, authorities in the U.S have confirmed. The ‘Money Na Bank’ fame musician was arrested and whisked to jail on serious allegations of fake immigrationdocuments, credit card (bank) fraud, and vehicles’ thefts, the New People Online investigations reveal. He was initially interrogated by police in Maryland and recently transferred to a maximum prison in Atlanta where access to family and friends is literally restricted. The musician who was supposed to have been charged to court by now appears to still be cooling off in remand cells with no legal or other representation.The New People Online cannot verify claims that L.A.J is being treated like a high profile criminal with the possibilityto stay in prison for a very long time if not forever. The Sierra Leone Embassy in Washington D.C disclosed to the New People Online that the L.A.J matter is very complicated and above the reach of the embassy.“Although we sometimes provide legal and other representationsfor Sierra Leoneans in conflict with the law, this is just one of the numerous cases we find difficult to intervene as a result of the complexity of the matter and lack of resources to pursue such matters,” Ambassador Bockarie Stevens said in an interview, adding: “Most Sierra Leoneans in the United States are not even registered with the Embassy and it becomes very difficult to represent them in times of difficulties”.L.A.J stands accused of conniving with family members (one of them in prisonwith him) and other persons unknown to tamper with bank accounts and transactions; rent and later ship vehicles to Sierra Leone and Guinea. He is also being investigated for using improper documentations to enter andreside in the United States of America (USA).
