Wow take ya back a few years a few great memories I got call from hospital and they said jay in oct it will be 35 years at uhc wow I started in housekeeping dept was in school for paramedic and fire fighter I continued to work got a job as a paid medic in er and continued to go to school for respiratory therapist and finished that and still doing the same job .I truly love my job at uhc and I am very proud to have been on the journey to get a new hospital and now im proud im working in it .im so thankful to all the doctors and nurses who made me learn yes they was hard on me I wanted to learn all I could and they made me learn im so thankful for that I was at uhc when one rn and lpn and aid work the entire er back then their was no ct scanners just xrays no helicopters we got it all .I am proud to say ive worked with Bruce carter and Mike Tillman since they been their Bruce and Mike both told me many years ago they would build a new hospital and they did it .I remember when the union came in and David jones was personal director o what a time for us who didnt believe unions had any business in heath care I still feel this way how many remember when we hung the sign off the garage Brue and buckwheat here to stay my my those were some trying times for our hospital .we got first c t scanner we started the heart cath lab o that was a sign uhc was growing I loved every min o it .id like to thank all who I have come in contact with over the years doctors nurses resp housekeeping police and fire and ems ive meet over the years .im looking forward to another 30 years well maybe not that many cause I am getting old .I cannot forget all the ones who has past over the years ive worked with god bless you all .I am sad that Bruce is going to retire in april but he will make sure we have a good leader .all I can say is thanis to everyone I truly love my job and I hope I get a bunch more years .I am proud to say ive been at UHC 35 years god bless each and all who work their
