Wow what a huge day, so much to tell! Well first another big thank you to everyone, so far we have raised $31,500 and this has earned us a Top 10 position, (positions are based on fundraising). So this morning the top 10 cars were all lined up in the forecourt of Suncorp stadium, and Aussie Rock was parked about 4 meters away from the statue of King Wally Lewis. How cool is that, do you reckon if we go to a rugby match we can ask for the same parking space! So a couple of photos of Aussie Rock in Suncorp stadium, there were about 275 Bash Cars, 140 from QLD and the balance from NSW. We have different routes and in 10 days we will all meet in Stdney together with about 300 other cars from other states! We managed to attract some crowds with our upgraded sound system (thank you Fusion electronics) including a stint on top of the car – photo of the crowds from there also. Once we were off at 9:30am had a great day, stopped to see a about 38 kids in the Mt Sylvia State School, who it turns out are bg ACDC fans, so we played a few tracks for them. Then onto lunch in Nobby, (photo of the cars lined up there). A quiet afternoon by Aussie Rock standards, a lot of off road dirt along the rabbit proof fence, and tonight we have just pitched camp in the showgrounds at beautiful downtown Millmerran. Not too bad now but expected to get down to 1-2 degrees overnight.
