Wrapping up a super sojourn to Europe. From the Netherlands to Deutschland, the people, culture and summer settings have been so beautiful. Was a joy to play music for folks who were so generous with their listening and kindness. Seeds were planted for new songs too. I soaked up as much sensory (and edible!) detail as I could -regularly overcome with elated gratitude for being able to see and experience such beauty in this life. And in the midst of it all, Ive felt a paradoxical tug of sadness and compassion for the tragic events felt recently on a global level. Ive wondered how to make sense of these contradictory emotions, and Ive felt sensitive about sharing cheery travel pics when I know there is also so much more going on in the world. But I think it actually is important to share our love and light -especially in the face of pain and darkness. Those may be the times we need it most. So I just wanted to share some Joy with you today. Wherever you may be, remember you are a traveler, every day in your life, and there are beautiful details to absorb when you just slow down and look close enough. Heres to the Beauty in the world...
