Writers: Working in coffee shops… Whats the deal? Does this really work or are you just there to eye-flirt with other lonely writers? Its always seemed to me that working in public would be prohibitively distracting - especially for those of us who have been juggling for over 30 years and are programmed to instinctively look up at anything and everything that enters our peripheral vision, lest it be a club heading for our faces. And, for those of us who like to stay hydrated, how do you deal with multiple bathroom breaks? Pack up and take stuff with you? Leave your tech (and over a decade of intellectual property) just sitting there for someone to snatch? I ask because a Dunn Bros is opening across the street from me and Im thinking about finally giving this a try. Maybe. Once.
