Written by Sarah Warning to all families who have preteens and Teens. Who out there has heard of chatroulette? If you have or your child has mentioned it you must be warned!! This is not some cute way for kids to talk to others. Here is what is: Chatroulette is an online chat room that pairs random people from around the world together for Webcam-based conversations. Visitors to the website begin an online chat (text, audio, and video) with another visitor. At any point, either user may leave the current chat by initiating another random connection. Which one may think this is great… It is not at all. A few months ago my son wanted to show it to me. So we sat together and shot around the world. In most cases you click on the next one and there is a group of people waiting for you to pop up and they scream and yell… They swear… say mean negative comments, and ask for inappropriate things… I would say out of every 10 you hit there is a naked man. They would ask to see us kiss, take our clothes off, and much worse. I was shocked and horrified. Just to clear up one thing before I get a million write-ins on this my son is 19 and he was showing it to me. I am sharing this story to you as a warning. Have you heard of it or used it? What was your experience?
