Written by Suzy Johnson One of the important business items that we take care of during our annual convention is the consideration of proposed bylaw changes. This year only one change has been put forward for a vote by the delegates. It involves changing the name of the association. Please read the text of the proposal carefully and take it back to your club for discussion. Individuals may contact their district individual delegate to voice their opinions. Here is the text of the proposal: PROPOSED BYLAW AMENDMENT #1 (To be voted on at the Annual Meeting, February 21, 2015) CURRENT: The name of this organization shall be The California Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs, Inc., herein referred to as the Association. PROPOSED: The name of this organization shall be The California Four Wheel Drive Association, Inc.”, herein referred to as the Association. SUBMITTED BY: Steve Egbert PURPOSE BY AUTHOR: The California Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs, Inc. formerly known as the California Association of Jeep Clubs, Inc. has a long and prestigious history. Sometimes very old and prestigious companies and organizations need to make updates to better define themselves to their customers. In this time when advocating for recreation is as important as it has been at any time in the history of the Association I would propose a change is needed to better define ourselves to our customers. Clubs are very important to the Association and over 50% of our members currently are in clubs. To broaden our reach and more easily identify ourselves I propose the following change to the bylaws of the Association
