Wrote this like 4 years ago haha, enjoy. A Hopeful Dream All alone in desperation, the lonely woman sings, He vies for love and freedom, though, dont let him sprout his wings. She cries at night, the kids asleep, the moon bright in the sky, Its hard for me to conceive that his soul aint flyin high. She lingers by the window till the mail rolls in each day, Longing for a letter in which he just might say, Beautiful wife and kids, its me, and Im doin just fine, Fighting for our countrys freedom out on the front line. The harsh sunlight awakens me, Twas a challenge to sleep at all, Wondering if wed come out victorious, strong and standing tall. So far so good, it seems as though its coming to an end, And finally Ill be coming home, to see my loves again. -Kyle Ferriter
