Xander Mozejewski, L.A.s Insanely Awesome Wheelchair Guy! Xander Mozejewski is a Valley kid who had it all: brains, athleticism, California looks. Hired as a model, he soon got behind the camera. Then, in 2011, he was struck by a car while riding his motorcycle to a surf shop. The crash broke his back—he shouldnt have lived. Paralyzed from the waist down, he grew emaciated and fought for his health. He was saved by a tight-knit wheelchair community at CORE, a special gym in Northridge—and by his own bold Millennial outlook. Now Xander blazes a cultural trail through L.A., wheelchair be damned.
