Y pensar que ayer mismo tuve la oportunidad de abrazarme con esa maravillosa e inspiradora persona. Kai Frithjof Brand-Jacobsen is Director of the Department of Peace Operations (PATRIR). He works in mediation and peace processes, armed violence prevention and reduction, infrastructures for peace, systemic peacebuilding, design and implementation of early warning and prevention of armed conflict and armed violence, and post war recovery and reconciliation. He is an expert in the development of tools and methodologies for Strategic Conflict Analysis (SCA), Cumulative Impact and Needs Assessments (CINA) and policies and proposals for improving peacebuilding and peacemaking practice, effectiveness and impact. In 2001 he was a co-founder of the Peace Action, Training and Research Institute of Romania (PATRIR) and was President of the Institute from 2001 – 2012. He is invited as an advisor to several governments and international and national agencies, including the Commonwealth Secretariat, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), UN agencies and missions, and the All Party Parliamentary Working Group (APPG) on Conflict Issues of the British Parliament.
