For the diligent music lovers, I just wanna say the new Issues song Personality Cult is amazing. only Tyler and Michael could be genius enough to write a song calling out Matty Mullins, a person who, on a surface level can do no wrong. Matty has taken his persona as an inspirational/meaningful figure too far as of Challenger to the point where he is shaming others for the way they conduct themselves and has quite honestly given off this self-righteous vibe as of recently that could end very badly for him. Hes around Kellin Quinn too much and its obvious that they feed off each-others arrogance. Ive always believed Challenger was written and released far too soon which is why some of the songs are so contrived and out of place. I never thought the name Matty Mullins would leave a bad taste in my mouth. Memphis May Fires music has helped me out through VERY dark times in the past for me so it hurts me to see him devolve into this false religious figure when hes better than that. Leave the preaching to the dedicated Christian bands who know how to do it right. How can I take a band seriously on a religious level when the name of a city from Texas is in your band name? Stick to The Hollow, its what youre best at. Really I think we all expect better from this band. Theyre smart dudes. Act like it. Unconditional comes out on my birthday and I do not wanna be disappointed by it.
