Y4C3 - Frequently Asked Questions What is Y4C3? Y4C3 is a Youth Christian initiative aimed at initiating, involving, encouraging and moulding all sections of Church-going youth for Christ, Community and Country. So, what is new? Aren’t there enough youth movements already? Y4C3 caters to all sections of church-going youth. Our aim is to bring in those youngsters who dream of leadership inside and outside the Church in general. Our aim is to lay platforms for all kinds of talents and abilities. What do you mean by Church-going youth? By this we mean all the youth who have some form of Christian connection either by themselves or by virtue of their family, irrespective of their official certification. Our objective is to also bring in those youngsters who have little or no active connection with the Church, even though their primary belief is Christianity. How do you plan to involve youngsters who have some sort of church connection but are yet not directly involved with any church at any level? We believe that we can involve all young people in one or the other field of interest like Christian activity, Social activity, Cultural activity, Music activity, Sports activity, Administrative activity and Political activity. We want to include every youngster according to his/her talent or interest. Is Y4C3 an affiliate of any political party? No. What can you do for the all-round development of the Church-going youth? Our main agenda is to provide assistance, exposure and opportunity, catering to the needs, aims and aspirations of the church-going youth in all possible ways. Christian walk, Career development, Social awareness, Political empowerment and Community consciousness are some of the major fields where the Church-going youth would be encouraged to participate and excel. How does Y4C3 affect the Christian community? The church-going youth need to be groomed to be leaders in all spheres of public life so that the larger interests of the Christian community are protected. The church-going youth are the hope of our future. We need people’s representatives from the Christian community at all levels. Our voice needs to be heard in the highest places. Y4C3 will strive to promote able Christian leadership, protect our rights and also contribute to the national growth and integration. What are the short-term and long-term goals? The short term goals of Y4C3 are to conduct seminars/workshops in Banking, insurance & loans, seminars in education and career guidance, Christian events, Music events, Youth retreats, Summer coaching camps in music, sports, & English, Social and political awareness programmes, medical camps, tree planting, cleanliness and hygiene in the local community, etc. The long term goals of Y4C3 are to build the church-going youth into a potent force for the protection and sustenance of the Christian community at large. We believe that awareness and empowerment are key elements to the development of any community. Who are the leaders who run Y4C3 ? Y4C3 is not dependent on individual leaders. Leadership is collective. 24 prominent leaders, called elders, from various districts and various walks of life, constitute the core leadership. Who will fund Y4C3 ? Y4C3 is funded by individuals and organizations that have a concern and vision for the church-going Christian youth
