UPDATE: FINALLY the news weve been waiting for! Chels heard from one of the doctors at Sandringham this morning and they have spoken to Frankston Hospital at last! Basically Frankston are MORE than happy to have Chels be transferred over into their care, and are MORE than equipped to deal with the circumstances! Oh this is SUCH good news for us! We know that The Womens is a wonderful hospital, but the fact we can get specialized high risk care AND be so close to home is a godsend! All of Chelseas paperwork and results were being faxed over to Frankston today and we should hear from them on Monday and see what the next step is! In the meantime we have been on their website and seen that they do tours of their Maternity Ward on Sundays! So, we are heading on over to the ward/birth suite this weekend for a look around and to get familiar with our new delivering hospital! Ahhhh, this is such a relief for us! Of course, if there was no way Frankston could care for Chels and The Womens was the only option, we would have put up NO fight! The health of Chels and bubs is priority! BUT, this is the best possible outcome considering the drama that has unfolded!! We are very curious to know what the next step will be come Monday! I would think that induction makes sense so that they can be prepared for the labor/delivery and also so the platelet levels dont drop any further! But I honestly have NO idea! Im just thinking out loud here! I know that a c-section is not what the doctors want to have happen as the hemorrhage risk is obviously far greater with surgery! So who knows!! All I DO know is that our little lady is due in three weeks and that things could happen at ANY time!! This is all so frightfully exciting!! Hehe! So, there you have it friends- accepted and waiting further instruction!! Oh how we LOVE waiting.... Thanks for all your positive thoughts and wishes lovelies! No one wants things to go wrong, but we are feeling MUCH more settled knowing that we at least have a hospital that has taken us under their wing!! Onya Franga!!! :P Will keep you posted!!
