YEAH MATE!!!!! Marcos does it again, his 4th Nationwide win in a row at Watkins Glen!!! Yes that is a record and makes him the all-time winningest driver on road courses in the Nationwide series with 5! He also becomes the winningest foreigner both in the Nationwide series and all of Nascars top divisions! Important one is tomorrow though. Kyle Busch certainly didnt make it easy today, lap 6 he tried a ridiculous move on Marcos going into the chicane where there is no room and spun both of them out, luckily it only cost them about 10 spots and they didnt hit the wall, would have been nice if Kyle did though. That is not a passing spot and the race just started, no reason to try that move, extremely stupid thing to do. Great recovery from Marcos, then a lapped car got in his way and damaged his left front and he had to hold off a fast-closing Busch the last few laps. Great runs for Mike Bliss and Jeremy Clements in 14th and 16th, also good for Stanton Barrett in 18th, Brennan Newberry in 19th, Tomy Drissi in 20th, Jeffrey Earnhardt in 21st, and Derrike Cope is showing progress with a 22nd today, the sponsorship is starting to pay off. Elliott leads the points by 12 over Smith with Sadler and Dillon 13 back. Jeff gets the pole for the Cup race tomorrow, his 75th career pole and making this his 22nd straight season with a pole, so today was a good day!!! Marcos 2nd, but he set the track record in the first session so nice consolation. I would love to see them reversed, Marcos needs this win to make the Chase and of course I want Jeff to be as high as possible but hes in already. Great qualifying efforts from Justin Allgaier in 15th and especially Cole Whitt in 18th, great run. Nelson Piquet Jr. will make his Cup debut starting 32nd, which for Randy Humphreys equipment is quite good. Getting some late breaking news here, Tony Stewart was racing his sprint car again in upstate New York near Watkins Glen and apparently hit another driver who had crashed after contact with Stewart and had gotten out of his car to confront him. Police are reportedly investigating, this would be the first time I have heard of a driver running over another driver with his car but every time I think Stewart has settled down he has an episode like this and its like here we go again. Rory still on top by 1 but the field is chasing, Bernd Wiesberger will be his partner tomorrow in the final group, plus there are many still within 3 shots of the lead, Rory will have to play his best to win this time. Most interesting shot of the day goes to Jason Day, who hit his tee shot on 2 on the other side of a creek and rolled up his pants, took off his shoes and socks, waded across, and found his ball with the assistance of CBSs field commentator David Feherty, took a whack at it and ended up parring the hole. Rare upset in the tennis world, Venus beat Serena! Nice to see Venus doing well again, she has a condition that makes her tired quickly so she cant practice as much as she likes. Hope tomorrow goes as well as today did.
