YEMEN AUTHORITIES ARRESTED 97 ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS FROM SOMALIA HADRAMOUT, Jan. 02 (Saba) – Security apparatuses have arrested 97 illegal Somali migrants in Hadramout governorate. The arrested migrants were handed over to the UNHCR representative to be sent to the main refugees camp, according to the Interior Ministry website. It is worth to mention that the number of African Horn migrants to Yemen decreased in 2013 to 65, 319 compared with 107,532 in 2012 as per a UNHCR statistics. More than half a million Somali, Ethiopian and Eritrean illegal migrants crossed the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea during the last five years to enter Yemen.
