YEPPER DOODLES!! Its an UP and AT IT Friday!! Its gonna be a GREAT ONE! This day is already off to a wonderful start...it IS Friday and thats a big positive AND my Honey comes home today!!! OH YES! Ive missed him like crazy so that makes the day superfantastical! :D So this morning as I read in Colossians...such a little book but so full of love and wisdom...I find so so much to soak in that it is hard to narrow it down but I was praying this morning as I ran to be salt and light today and thinking about salt. So when I am reading about salt this morning in Colossians I figure the Holy Spirit is pointing me in a direction. :) Col 4:6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person. Since Mark and I have been eating clean...most everything fresh...lots of organic and all that stuff...I have noticed a few things about my body and my tastebuds. I have noticed that I can TASTE sodium in things (like TOO MUCH) when we go out to eat. Ive also noticed a change for the better in my body since Ive rid myself of all this extra salt. So this morning as I am reading this and praying to be SALT..for my speech to be seasoned with salt....SALT is not bad. Salt is a good way to add flavor to food BUT (yes, there is that word again) BUT it must be done in moderation. When we are TOO salty then we are a turn off to those we are trying to reach...we say the wrong things or we say TOO much but either way we are not letting Jesus speak we are just DUMPING out all our SALTINESS on someone. And too much salt isnt good. But the Word says that our words should be GRACIOUS...that our speech should be lovely...and seasoned with salt...seasoned JUST right. And when our words are lovely, gracious and seasoned just right with salt, then they are appealing...appetizing to someone hungry for food...for the Word. So today may we remember that we want our words seasoned with salt...and may we bear in mind that we must taste those word ourselves so lets be beautiful with what we speak. LOVE LOUD! :D
