YES IT IS approaching slowly, softly and surely. IT’S SPRING! Due to popular demand, TOMORROW from 9am until 2pm, not only will spring be returning to Russell Forest, but so will precious young LAMBS. These little sheep nubbins will bring their frolicsome ways to the Naturalist’s Cabin to help us escort out this colder-than-average winter. Remember when it was eight degrees in January? These little guys don’t. They weren’t even born yet! March stereotypically goes “out like a lamb,” and we will nod to the upcoming gentle weather by spending time with these huggable, pet-able lambs. In addition to the hands-on lamb time, our Naturalist will display sheared wool and teach visitors about the importance of these domestic creatures to human warmth and comfort.
