YES!! It is Official!! I got the Job and the Promotion!! I will be leaving the Inspector Generals Office and headed to the Chief, Technology Office working with the Engineers and Scientists as a Career Program Manager!! It has been a long time coming but after 28 years of picking up and PCSing with my Soldier for 24 years, as most Military Spouses can attest to, it is hard to ever really get any where in your Career, because as soon as we would get promoted it was time to PCS, and at the next duty station they offered you anything that was never equal to what you left at the last duty station. The process would repeat itself, having to prove your work ethic, making contributions, trying to prove your worth to an organization, hoping for the next promotion, only to move again and start all over yet again! It was never a Career any longer but just a Job! Now that John is retired and we wont be picking up and moving any time soon, I can begin working on my Career and getting back to where I was many years ago!! Its been a long time coming.......but I have finally arrived!! Life is good!! :)
