YEYE DEY SMELL! I was on a train from Liverpool station - TopicsExpress

YEYE DEY SMELL! I was on a train from Liverpool station heading to White Hart Lane jejely minding my business and not wanting to get involved when Kemi Sisi Eko tagged me on Pix 1 on this frame. According to her, she is at the train station waiting for the Lagos - Ilorin bound train. I have every reasons under the sun to be angry with Kemi! Of all the pictures in the world, she choose to tag me on a photo of what the toilet look like at the revamped Transformation Train Station (TTS) in Lagos. As soon as my eyes sighted the ordoriferous picture Kemi tagged me on, I quickly rush to the toilet on board the central London line train before I throw up inside the cabin! Up till this moment, I have not been able to get that gory sight off my mind. I am very sorry about this picture, but come to think of it, are you sure we are Ok as a people? That toilet is supposed to be a convenience in a public place for crying out loud. Only God knows the types of bacteria and other pathogenic microorganisms that are incubating in there waiting to pounce on the next person who ventures into the toilet. This is unacceptable! Imagine someone enters this toilet, finish his business, without washing his hands and hop into the train. Next he shake hands with everyone in the cabin and share the E . coli, P. aeruginosa, Staph aureus, Toxoplasma godii, Bacillus fragilis, Proteus milabilus, Streptococcus vividans and all the virulent yama yama microbes he has proudly acquired from that loo? This Ebola kind of toilet does not even belong in the stone age. Is it not amazing and the irony is that we are all fixated on the facts that the trains are back, and we forgot to demand that all components of the service be efficiently run? But the irony of it all is that you find this kind of ordoriferous sight almost everywhere in any public building you step into in Nigeria. We are in this mess together! We have lost our values and moral compass. No sane human will use this toilet and remain the same. Whoever is in charge of the train station has a lot of work to do! Let us help him to get it right by calling him out. The revamping or if you like, transformation in the railway sector of our rebased economy should be all encompassing! It should go beyond having trains moving on the rail line. With this kind of toilet in the train station, only God knows what the loo on the train itself will look like. With this type of toilet, I will rather ride a camel than be found anywhere near the transformation train station! This is an eyesore! Cant even look at it. My eyes are closed as I type. It is a real big shame on us as a people who have accepted to live with this! I was at the Federal Secretariat in Abuja sometime in August last year to see an Oga at the top. The stench from the toilet close to his office was worst than Ebola and thats where you have all the top government officials. Water was not running through the tap, and people get to do their business and leave the place like that - NOTHING DEY HAPPEN! YEYE DEY SMELL! !!!!
