YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk Reveals Everything about a New Survival Show ‘Mix&Match’ After the successful debut of WINNER, YG Entertainment will recruit new artists through another survival show. A press conference for Mnet ‘Mix&Match’ was held at Conrad Hotel in Yeouido on September 2. CEO of YG Entertainment Yang Hyun Suk and ‘WIN Team B’ members B.I, Bobby, Kim Jin Hwan, Song Yoon Hyung, Kim Dong Hyuk, and Goo Joon Hwae attended along with new trainees Jung Jin Hyung, Jung Chan Woo, and Yang Jong Suk. Yang explained “The name of the new group has been confirmed as ‘IKON’ and they will make a debut through ‘Mix&Match’. We replaced IKON’s ‘C’ with ‘K’ to implying our hope to promote Korean culture worldwide”. He continued “It feels like choosing a national teams, but I won’t put my personal feelings into my decision. PSY gained unexpected popularity with his world hit song ‘Gangnam Style’ and just like him, I wish our new artists to represent Korea.” The survival rule for ‘Mix&Match’ is this: B.I, Bobby, and Kim Jin Hwan are fixed members of Team B who have confirmed their debut. Other members of Team B including Song Yoon Hyung, Kim Dong Hyuk, and Goo Jon Hwae will compete with new trainees Jung Jin Hyung, Jung Chan Woo and Yang Hong Suk. Four members will be chosen through competition and they will join the other 3 members as 7 member idol group. The winners will be chosen by viewers votes (70%), judges votes (30%) and judges will include 30 sunbae artists from YG Entertainment.
