YOU BE THE JUDGE CONTEST Sean is a part-time cook at a local restaurant. After the evening dinner rush slowed down, Sean left the kitchen, and went outside, through a back door, for a smoke break. Another co-worker was also taking a smoke break, as they often do. The co-workers dad showed up in the smoking area with the family dog. The dad told Sean that the family dog was aggressive. Despite these warnings, Sean went to pet the dog anyway. As cautioned by the dad, the dog jumped up and bit Sean in the face. Sean rushed to his family doctor, who stitched him up pretty good. Sean returned to work the next day, never missing a day of work. However, the dogs bite left Sean with permanent scars across the right side of his face. You be the judge. Is Sean entitled to workers compensation benefits? If so, what types of benefits is Sean entitled? If not, why not?
