YOU TELL A NEW CONVERT TO FIND A BIBLE-BELIEVING CHURCH? - TopicsExpress

YOU TELL A NEW CONVERT TO FIND A BIBLE-BELIEVING CHURCH? WRONG! Our Evangelists need to seriously research. There is a popular Gospel Radio personality on Sunny 88.7fm who I am admire so much, he does good radio interviews and hes known as an MC among the Christian community. Please if you know him and has his contact, tell him we love him so much, he is doing a good job, particularly the way he still makes altar call on radio and lead people to Christ. My concern however, is that, when he (he is not the only one actually, alot of people do) is doing so, he recites the confession and in it he says the sinner should tell God to write his/her name in the book of life. That is not right. Please, I understand revelation is progressive and we are all learning, God is not writing new names in the book of life, theres absolutely no record in the bible that suggests so! Souls were won by the Apostles after Jesus second exit to Heaven (there were two ascensions of Jesus to heaven), so there is no need telling God to write the name in the book of life, the names are already there, it is when you die without Jesus Christ that the name is blotted out, and in the bible you will find the expression, ...those whose names WERE NOT FOUND in the book of life..., why is it not found, because it was blotted out, Jesus holds the keys of hell and death and he is the only worthy lamb to open the book. We will probably do a full expose again in one of our classes about this book of life thing. Secondly, why do Evangelists and Christians who win souls tell the new convert to find a bible-believing church and start attending? I find that very disturbing and inaccurate. Firstly, is there a church on earth that doesnt believe in the bible? Can you find me a church that uses the Quran instead? Every church believes the Bible! I do not understand where that statement originated from and it has become very popular with us - of course we just copy everything without discernment. And granting you meant the new convert should find a good Church with proper Biblical teachings to attend, how will a new convert who just came into the Kingdom have the maturity to decipher which church has a good and sound message? It is like taking your 4 year old daughter to a new school and telling her to find her own classroom and start learning. It is not wrong to suggest a Church (or churches) to a new convert, you can suggest different denominations, it doesnt have to be your church, suggest others too that your spirit bears witness with that they are doing the right thing and let the new convert choose which is closest and most convenient for him/her. Or folks, what do you think about my observations? The Big Godwin | Butterfly your World!
