I started a blog about my work at Intuit, that probably resulted in me not getting a job offer from Intuit. Strangely some other people who interned after me found it and ended up getting hired as full time employees. I started a job search campaign called 100 reasons You Should Hire me that failed because I couldnt come up with 100 reasons anybody should hire me. I spent 4 years working on a blog that never quite achieved lift off. I published a book about how to get from Blog to Book deal even though ive never gotten a book deal. Hardly anybody read it. The internet is littered with the digital graveyards, and temporary stops, destinations on the scenic route that were like restaurants with bad food, or crappy hotels with uncomfortable beds. The fear that theyll be permanently imprinted by the project that failed keeps people from starting at all. But the truth is that nobody remembers, nobody really cares, and the only thing that captures peoples attention in the moment is your next move. So, whats yours?
