Ya know I am all for upping the minimum wage get raised to $10.10 - TopicsExpress

Ya know I am all for upping the minimum wage get raised to $10.10 and hour, however does that mean that all people who make more then minimum wage but less than $10.10 an hour will get a proportionate raise. Like if you make $10 an hour now will you go up to $12.65 an hour seeing as thats the difference between minimum wage and the $10 you now make? It would be uncalled for if people that actually have a skill that are making $10 an hour right now to be making the same amount as people that have no skills and are getting their first job. Nothing wrong with having a legitimate job making legal money at minimum wage, you just dont deserve as much per hour that people with experience and skills that earn them more. I am just confused on how it will equal out in the workforce. I know last time I worked for more then minimum wage when it was raised I was working in daycare and it ended up being that I was making just a little more than a new hire would be, with my experience and education in the field, i did not get a proportionate raise and it was ridiculous that some chick fresh outta high school was making like 50 cents an hour less then me who had been there over a year and had some education and a few years of experience!
