Ya know, This also makes me just a little sad. My football hero is getting old (hes 58). And next year the the corner of the end zone where Dwight Clark spiked it after making The Catch will be the bathroom in someones condo. And the spot where Joe spotted Dwight back there & thread the ball just high enough that Dwight could reach up & grab it, that will be where somebodys flat screen TV hangs. I just wish I could get out there & scoop up a little bit of the ground where from the place that taught me that in life, every so often, the good guy does not finish last. The place where g God came down & played some center field in baseball season, and then a few years later decided to come & play QB for a while. He also played WR there, and for a couple years did both at the same time. But he IS God.... & yes Bruce W. Anderson, despite my gloating, I would give a dozen autographed #8s (& not taking ANYTHING away from Steve) for just one #16. Because no matter how many other great players come and go, there will never be another Joe. And this really IS the most animated I have ever seen him. It is also the longest string of words I have heard him put together without dropping an f-bomb, but that is another matter. He is not God. God just used him to have some fun on Sunday afternoon for a few years.
