Ya know there are some things around here that make me go hhhuumm For lunch I made a cabbage and potato soup that had someone that was not here claiming to hate me for. But that is not the huumm part. I am a fair good cook okay for a moment I will do this, I am damn fine cook, outstanding even I have won awards for my cooking ( done with the horn) But yet I have things like this happen. I can cook 5 star , YET ,,So the twins want other things in their soup. Okay I will have a dish of the cabbage soup then here goes. Oh look there are some shriveled carrots, in with you, a bit of left over broccoli , some peas, half a tomato, left over beef gravy,,taste...season, oh that would be good with some of these dried mushrooms...taste..left over grilled onions, oh some left over rice! Taste, hum not bad. Twins 7 dish of soup total and brandy leaning against the stove scarfing it down saying this soup is her most favorite. I can make a dam 7 course meal that is to die for and I get a shrug on how it is. I make a soup out of the most disreputable things I have left in the kitchen and they eat like I have not fed them in three weeks. Where the hell is the logic in that?
