Yall know I was never afraid to speak out and fight for what we needed at good old FHSD. When I told a few teachers that I was going to retire, one expressed regret at the prospect, telling me how she and others appreciated my willingness to stand up for what was right/oppose stupidity, etc. she asked, Now, who is going to fight for us? I knew it was time for others to do so. I also knew we could have accomplished more if my colleagues had been willing to stand up with me. I understand that others fear possible consequences, but still want to help out, even if in a safer way.
