Yall remember that Eddie Murphy movie Coming to America? Remember when he decided to get his haircut to get rid of his princely rats-tail? The barber just kinda clipped it off and all done. Thats kinda how my last haircut went. It was 140 degrees in the shade and I couldnt handle it anymore. My daughter went in to talk to the woman and when I went in and sat with a book to decide what I wanted, I was called almost immediately to the chair. I had just enough time to find a style I thought Id like and can take care of. Well, this hairstylist was just adamant about keeping my curls...which I could care less about when I have sweat dripping off my head. So she did like the guy in the movie and just clipped straight across the back of my neck. Sure, the back of my neck felt cooler, but the rest of my head was just as bad as it had been walking in. So I asked ummm, but what about the hair thats in my eyes? Oh? You mean you want it shorter still?! Youll lose your curl. Darlin, I said, the hell with the curl, Id rather be able to see!
