Yara Kdouh, 3 years, affected with epilepsy, Lebanon Yara Khdouh is a three-year-old girl from South Lebanon suffering from epilepsy. Treatment: In order to guarantee an appropriate treatment for Yara a one-day test has to be done in advance. The test is conducted at the AUH. Success of treatment: Dependent on the results of the test. Background: Yara’s father works as a farmer, the family does not have a national or a private health insurance. They live in South Lebanon. Due to the difficult infrastructural situation in this region the family are counted among the underprivileged population stratum in Lebanon. Present situation: The costs of the test account for less than 1000 Euro. Due to the difficult financial situation of the family they cannot cover the whole amount.
