Yarkon Park, Tel Aviv - just minutes from my house. This park is to Tel Aviv what Central Park is to Manhattan. And this falls out from the sky - parts of a rocket fired from Gaza intercepted by the Iron Dome. If we didnt have the Iron Dome the world would get to see many photographs is dead Israeli women and children. Maybe it would be better PR for Israel. If we hadnt uncovered and destroyed the tunnels now, the world would have gotten to see the surprise Hamas was preparing for us for the Jewish New Year coming soon - infiltration through the tunnels directly into communities to kill civilians during the holidays. Is that what the world needs to see to understand that Israel is faced with a real and immediate threat? When Hamas targets Israeli cities for 14 years with rockets they are called militants. When Israel strikes back it is called genocide. But that is what Hamas is proposing to do to Israel. War is a lose - lose situation. There are no winners. Everyone suffers. But ask yourself what your government would do to safeguard its citizens if you were faced with so called militants who are in fact an extreme terrorist organization on your borders bent on the destruction of your country. Lets see where the 72 hour cease fire (which has already been broken) will lead. Have a peaceful, quiet weekend.
