Yay! Its Friday! WOnderful dressage lesson with Peter Acton yesterday - yep we are still correcting Regals injuries from foalhood - BUT positive changes are happening and we are resisting getting in the saddle yet as she keeps reverting back to her old ways from time to time. She has been unsound most of her life and hasnt been able to work properly since she ran headlong into a trailer at the age of 1 week old. She is becoming strong and willing to work consistently - only correcting when necessary. She is almost completely off the forehand now and carries herself proudly and tall. Now we are concentrating on collection on the lunge and perfecting shoulder in or away. She is getting better at volte - we do this a lot and that is helping her forehand remain tall. Her ears are always focused and her eyes have stopped their rapid movements - she still comes in for a cuddle and is ok about being sent out. She is becoming light on her feet and very pretty mover.
