Years ago, I dated this guy very casually. We went out just a handful of times. He pops up today in my people you may know feed. I sent him a friend request because we had been friends... no ugly scenes or fights. We just stopped going out. At any rate, hes a fellow writer, and also has a web design business. Having him as a professional contact seemed wise at the very least. Ten minutes later, hes confirmed the request and is texting me... still had my number. Bit strange. The catching up chit chat lasted for a sum total of six texts before hes telling me how hes often wondered if wed cross paths again and how he really wants to reconnect with me. I check his facebook profile, and it says, very clearly, that hes married. I point this out. Then he tells me that its an open relationship and yada yada yada. My question is.... does sending some a friend request mean that youre inviting them to do anything more than just be your facebook friend? Am I missing something here?
