Years ago I was having a conversation with God about me staying and living on Block Island. It was in the Fall and I was getting concerned about the upcoming inclement weather. Lord I said How can I stay on Block Island through the Winter when I dont even own a rain coat now? That very night as I threaded my way through the docks at old harbor hunting the elusive striped bass I rested my hand on a piece of fabric that had been left on a mooring line. I picked up the fabric and to my surprise it was a Field and Stream raincoat. I gave thanks to Godfor my earlier petition had been answered. I could tell the rain jacket had been in the ocean awhile because sand had completely packed the drawstring compartment at its bottom. Whoever had pulled it from the harbor must of noticed the compartment filled with sand and left it. I put it on and naturally, it fit me perfectly. I wore it for years and it served me well. I would crack up a little when wearing it into stores as I know I was leaving a trail of sand from the drawstring area. Years later I traded it in when I went to the transfer station (the dump) and picked up a brand new Field and Stream rain jacket and pants on the hanger in front of the little shack where the free items are placed. In both cases the jackets were my color Forest Green. Now I am not any different from anybody else I am a normal guy trying to figure things out like the rest of us. Yet I do believe in God and in Gods Son who died for my trangressions and when I pray in some way those prayers are answered. We all have concerns and I encourage you to cast your cares upon God and in time your concerns in one way or the other will be addressed.
