Years ago, at a Natchez Rodeo, there were some of these same monkeys riding a pair collie dogs just like this. They were cute and hung on like ticks. After the show, the dogs and monkeys went out of the rodeo arena and were just lounging around by the owners horse trailer. UNTIL a CAT came creeping out of the horse barn...and was spotted by the two collie dogs. It was instant pandemonium. Both dogs jumped to their feet, monkeys jumped onto the backs of the dogs and the chase was ON. The CAT was doing his best Zig Zag in and out and under the horse trailers while the monkeys hung on for dear life. It was Hell-Fire and Brimstone for several red hot circuits around the parking area. The CAT made a break back toward the barn but it looked like one of the two collies had him cut off at the pass...UNTIL....the CAT ran underneath the tongue of a horse trailer still hooked up to a truck and the collie ran underneath in HOT PURSUIT...Yup...that trailer tongue de-monkeyed that collie slicker than owl poo...knocked the monkey clean OUT...with two fists full of collie hair. The dog/monkey owner came running over, picked up the life-less monkey (still grasping the dog hair) and with real tears said, They done kilt my monkey. I was rolling laughing. Slowly, the monkey began to twitch, roll his head around and soon jumped onto the owners shoulders....all was well again in the Land of Rodeo...but Ill never be the same...still laughing about that one.
