Years ago when I first had the idea of The Epidemic Gaming Network I was working at a very great company. I had made many great friends and had the honor of being mentored by some pretty amazing people Paul Lawrence, Karen Farwell, Merly Dominguez Hendrickson, LeArla Torgerson to name a few. As I progressed through the system I realized something. That in some major corporations you simply are a number. All that matters is the bottom line. Sure I have accomplished alot in my life more so then some people much older than me but how does this make me better than them? It doesnt. A good man taught me once that all people have the power to create change. They simply need to proper motivation to push them forward. To some its friends and family to others its much much more. Seeing first hand how I would receive bonuses but yet those in lower positions would be laid off really hit me. Sure some can argue that we pay these outlandish amounts to people to retain their talent. Well what of the talent from the others? Ive seen first hand the amazing talent people have. Sometimes they just need that right person to nurture them and push them along the way. This is why I want to build my own company. My own future. I want to prove all the neigh sayers wrong. It isnt just hectic work schedules or crazy long hours grinding away that make a company. No its the people. Everyone from the top down that makes it happen. Im honored to be working with James Robert Davis V, Jennifer Smith and Christopher Hulick on the Epidemic Gaming Network and our sister enterprises The Grid comic. I dont see them as players in my board game nor do I see them as people taking direction from me. No I see them as equals for we are not better than anyone else nor do we perceive to be so. We simply all share the same dream.
