Years ago, when we were 21, Brian Reese and I were at a party. We were roommates at the time. I left the party first. About 20 minutes later, he walked home along the same route I took. While I made it back fine, 20 minutes later Brian was tackled to the ground by large men in hoodies and a gun was slammed to his head. They were undercover cops, and Brian fit a description which meant that a lethal weapon to the temple was the go-to. Its haunted me for years. We had matching trips home, but incredibly different journeys based only by the color of our skin. Fairness and justice are not abstracts. They are tangible things that young black males arent given. So we made this video. We never released it, but now seemed an appropriate time. This racism from police can end. It must end. Lets keep this battle moving forward. https://vimeo/m/103553814
