Yemeni President Dismisses Government After Weeks of Unrest Oh my god, what!? What now? Bomb in my pants (I have probably just now been put on some watch list). However Yemen is disparagingly different from other typical Arab Sprung uprising countries in comparison to Tunisia where it all began per say--because its an absolute train-wreck in terms of the worst Egypt and Afghanistan combined (although at one time thought it could possibly turn into the next Afghanistan) has to offer. A mix of the worlds worst Al-Qaeda from the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) intertwined with insurgents, tribal militias, Islamic extremists, secularists, and just plain old secessionists that want to overthrow the government--that somehow ended up spitting out our lovely Christmas Day underwear bomber, remember? And who in the hell is actually going to want to stick a bomb down there? eweeh From a capitalistic United States wearing their dollar-sign colored glasses perspective, the focus is mainly on counterterrorism aimed on the 300,000 barrels of oil pumped out per day. Yemen almost feels like a Somalia, Afghanistan, and Nigeria all rolled into one big sushi roll; however as we all know, you can always customize and just add more!
