Yep, I was watching multiple live cams the night the constitution-protected protest took place, and this is how I saw it. A group of peaceful citizens have the RIGHT to protest, and the fact that they were exercising this right should not be met with threats to disperse and go back to your homes. As this was being instructed, there were NO signs of violence or vandalism. A water bottle being thrown at a cop does not constitute the use of tear gas. Stand up for your rights before theyre completely stripped away. It will happen here in Canada before we know it. How many people already fear police more than they feel protected by them? There are people who are afraid to call them even when they need to because they fear prosecution themselves. Thats how it starts... Then the police turn into bullies and start killing people at will with no proof or evidence and this becomes the norm. Not only is it commonplace, but it is actually rewarded with early retirement. We cant allow this evil to spread across the borders (more than it already has). Keep those cameras ready. If you see police acting unfavorably or in a way that contradicts their purpose, film it!! Put it on YouTube, Facebook, share with friends and family. Get a dash cam if you drive. I heard it may also lower insurance rates (and some record sound from within the vehicle, a handy tool that may come in handy if you get pulled over). They have cameras on us, we need double the cameras pointed at THEM! I am exercising my right to free speech. Hopefully I dont get arrested for this post, but the fact that I fear retribution makes my point perfectly. Were with you, Ferguson. I wish I could be there in person to show my support.
