Yep...every treat that tastes good to me since I was a kind is just causing me to age faster. So, what the hell good are adding all those preservatives to the food if they dont really preserve me? This is a conundrum, eh? It is just like those folks that deny climate change. They embrace fast-food science and fast-food marketing with subsidies versus promoting non-GMO, organic, or even home-cooking. These climate deniers seem to say they have the best intentions to support national health and well-being, but then side with those who still want to avoid the high costs we must face to deal with what we have been reaping - severe drought, persistent pests, wide-spreading food-borne contamination, persistent pesticide residues and livestock overuse of antibiotics. The list can go on and on. These problems are wider-spread than anything that is going on in that sad Veterans Affair scandal, because it kills women, children, as well as veterans, agricultural workers, and so many others - at a much higher rate than our Hero Veterans. That is a sad, sad fact of life as things stand right. We need to take better care of our basic agricultural infrastructure - including maintaining roads and rail to get to quality, healthier foods to markets. But, in addition, we need to improve access to clean water and air for - healthy crops and livestock; healthy agricultural workers, farmers, and ranchers; and we need to take care of or precious pollinating insects. Please pray for - and help - all persons in need of a healthier meal - or even a basic meal itself. I look back at all those donuts and sweet things I have eaten over half-a-century; and I see the scars that doing so left with me every day I see my reflection in a mirror or window.
