Yes, I Voted. But Ive promised myself that this is the last time Im voting for a government that I have no hope of being any different from those that have just come to power to divide the country on the basis of wealth, well-being and creed. Let this be the last time this country allows us to live in the confines of our bubbles. We could be a better country. We could be a better people. We could be the India that we all truly deserve. Let no Modi or Gandhi or Kejriwal be our leaders if they cant be seen as leaders we could look up to. Let alone speak of the bullshit that they have kept promising to become just another forgettable leader the country had. Let us look for, inspire and motivate the real leader in ourselves to ensure we have capable and non-judgmental leadership in the country. We could at least start with having better Minimum Qualifications for elected representatives to the State and Central Assemblies. Dynasties, Local professions and Volatile Opposition only further divide the nation. Im sure the British laugh at us every time they look back at us. We have failed to unite ever since we drove them out of the country. ..................................................................................................... On this fateful day of the last leg of the General Elections in India, I pay homage to Mr. JYOTI BASU You were indeed one of the greatest Prime Ministers the country failed to have.
