Yes, I still miss my Mom, Jeanne Nichols every minute of every day. But I know she is walking hand in hand with Daddy & they have met up with GrMa Mary, Uncle Bud, Leon & Charlie.....among many other family & friends....she is telling them all about the slew of gkids & great gkids she left behind, but they all knew who she was. If your kids do not know their gparents & great gparents, please let them get to know them, spend time with them, make memories & take lots of pix. Kids need that connection with their past as much as they look forward to their future. Then as they get a lil older, they will enjoy talking about them, telling others about them, the things that they did, the places that they went & they have the pix to share. Our gkids have all requested a print of GGs most recent good pic of her smiling & I will do this for them. Collin talks about GG almost daily, that her house is up the hill but she lives in Heaven with God now, that he liked pushing her in her wheel chair when we would take her to her Dr appts. He remembers that she would always give him coins for his pocket, buy him gum or candy from the vending machine & called him Collin Joel, she loved his whole name & he liked it when she said it. The 1 & only time she ever scolded him, he cried so hard that it made she & I both tear up too, but he had tried to head to the van without holding my hand & she yelled at him. He stopped so suddenly, you would have thought someone had a hand on him.....well maybe they did. She scolded him about the dangers of a car hitting him & how sad she would be if he had gotten hurt & had to go to the hospital. He hugged her & told her he would not do it again & all was good, but that was probably the hardest I had ever see him really cry. It was a deep hurt from inside, not an injury hurt, but I know he is not marred from it, but richer as a result. I love you Mom, for all of the memories you created with all of your kids, gkids & great gkids, they will forever be richer for you being a part of their lives....
