Yes...great that she did that. But as she says ...she didnt do it for attention for herself. Also, I work for a major airline where I see regular passengers giving up their First Class seats for military . Thats not usually in the news ...except for the time the entire First Class cabin gave up their seats. That made the news. I am proud to say that my airline allows us to upgrade uniformed military personnel before flight departure if there are any First Class seats that havent been purchased. If nothing else...we allow them early boarding or at anytime during the boarding process. Small gestures perhaps but I am grateful that my airline allows me to do that for military personnel . But I will say this...and I heard this from someone else....but I absolutely agree....if you are in the position to do so....if you own a company or have some connections....offer a job, or affordable housing.All of the goodwill and appreciation are wonderful gestures...but something more concrete is appropriate. The sacrifices they and their families make are great.
