Yes its that time again the interesting facts. Tonight we are going to talk about rain. It is that great stuff comes from the sky called LIQUID GOLD. As we seen plenty areas in Australia experiencing terrible drought conditions however the latest forecast give us some hope for some people for much needed rain. So in short rain drops varies around 0.5mm to 3mm in diameter; so what do we need for rain to occur? The most important ingredient is very moist air that is lifted to great heights which can come from Thunderstorms or even from troughs-moist air for example could come from seabreeze from the ocean. Without moist inflow of the atmosphere then unfortunately no rain will occur-so moisture is the key. Did you know also that some rain can fertilise the land e.g. Garden/Grass/Farming? How is this possible? Generally this occur with Thunderstorm activity which produces lightning that occurs with it, oxygenation (simple term combine) of the nitrogen in the air then it is finally brought down by rain hence fertilise the land so to speak. Sometimes we think wow the rain has really made the garden/grass green up better than the sprinklers or hand held hose we use. So lets hope we see some LIQUID GOLD falling from the sky in the next few days; meanwhile we all need to say some prayers, keep fingers and toes crossed or even do the rain dance.
