Yes, its winter. And as much as I like apples and pears (and apples and pears, and apples and pears), its nice to dig into a juicy, tart-sweet pineapple, too. This recipe, inspired by Dorie Greenspan and her new book on French baking, made, a simple, yet elegant dessert. Its just pineapple, some jam and fruit juice, and time in the oven - and out came spears of darkly caramelized fruit. The perfect antidote for winter!
