Yes, real esate is just fine. Our extra hot and humid summer has delayed purchase decisions. We all know house hunting is a lot of work. You get out of the cool car, walk into a potentially hot house, as you walk out, the car is heated up and will take a few minutes to cool down, but by then, you have to be out again into another hot house. So if they can wait, buyers are waiting for cooler days to seriously shop for homes. However, if you look at the number of people looking to buy before the end of this year and compare that to the number of homes available in the market, you will see that our supply is still not enough for the demand. Look at my listings in escrow; they are all in contract at record prices! And in the rest of the country where weather is normal, prices are going up, and sales are happening. So breathe easy! We are in a healthy normal market, where we should be.
